Arizona: Lees Ferry & Colorado River

While I’m still sorting through my photos and thoughts from the big fall trip, I’ll share one of my stops after that trip ended. I heard about Lee’s Ferry from a fellow Alto owner (thanks, Alissa, for that post). When the weather turned wicked cold up at the Grand Canyon, I decided to leave a day early and check it out since it would be lower elevation (so warmer) and also split the 180 miles into two days of much less driving per day, which always works for me. What I didn’t expect was how stunning the land would be.

I spent the last month in the wilderness, from the Great Sand Dunes in CO to the might five National Parks of Utah and then down to the north rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. As you might imagine, I’ve got a lot of photos. Until I write about the trip, here’s a “thanks for waiting for me” present, my (so far) top ten favorite images from the trip. A Month Away: Digital Retreat

I’m going to be offline the next four weeks, from Sep 11 to Oct 9. I’ll be taking this time to rest and retreat into silence, reading, and thinking.
