Nomad exploring life wherever I am
I’m watching the sun slowly come up over the far horizon, way off to the east, the ocean between it and me turning lighter shades of blue as the sky changes from orange to yellow to almost white. There’s that one point in the whole line of horizon where the sun will appear, casting its fierce light to mark the start of another day.
I wake up, no alarm needed, at 6:35AM. The merest sliver of dawn has slipped through the smallest of gaps in the blackout curtains in the living room and I can see it through the crack in the blinds of the bedroom.
Recently, I had lunch in Gainesville, Florida, with a new Alto owner who had a list of questions to ask me about full-timing. It made me think back to when I first started this adventure in May, 2016, and what I wish I’d known way back then.
Here we go, covering my last trip of 2024 before I settle into this year’s version of the winter condo on the beach. The plan?
