Despite the spate of 90F (32C) days here in Gainesville, we are still in the midst of Spring. This morning, the neighborhood gardens displayed fresh blooms of all colors and scents, from the heavenly smell of jasmine to the soft scent of that most southern of blooms, the white magnolia. So today, no deep thoughts or long posts, just a bit of beauty from that most wonderful of seasons, Spring.

Blooming is one thing; but blooming where you are planted is another. It’s so easy to say, “I will bloom when I am there”, but you need to be saying, “I will bloom right here, where I was planted.”

Peg, you should consider Zoom tours of your garden. Or just facetime me in a few hundred times this summer 🙂
It is calming in one way to stay in a spot, I can get things ordered so much easier 🙂 But I’m also itching to go, hoping I can do some traveling this summer. Hope you are safe and calm at home, Emma, and taking care of yourself.
There is a bright spot in the center of the purple flower. I find that you help center me with your musings, even on the most difficult of days. There is something calming about staying in one place.
The grass isn’t ALWAYS greener over there. Sometimes you have to make it green where you are. Hard for those of us with wanderlust.
Picked up 5 more daylilies today, they will bloom where they are planted!
