Come walk with me, through the forest here in North Carolina. It’s a lovely day for it. And who knows what we might find if we look carefully as we go?

Wow, look up right here. That blue sky and those tall trees, that’s an amazing view, isn’t it?

Oh, yes, the first tiny wild irises of the season. So small, we might have walked right past them if we weren’t looking down right then.

Over there, a small pond reflects the trees behind it. Somewhere in that pond is an orange spotted turtle, a 10 year old boy told me so yesterday. He was so excited to have seen it.

And now we’re at the end of the trail. Hasn’t it been a lovely walk?

It’s the quiet moments, the looking in a new direction (up, down, or around) that can help us see beauty. Whether you’re in a forest or an apartment in the city, there is something beautiful near you right now. Can you find it?
Finding beauty in a broken world is creating beauty in the world we find.

Thank you for the lovely reminder and walk, and yes, the city has many small wonders every day. ❤️
Happy Easter a day late – went to the co-Grandparents’ for dinner and fun with Winnie. Today we have snow on the crocus. What’s up with that?
Love your photos, they give me hope of Spring!!
Great pictures! Happy Easter Annie! Dan and Jane MacRae
🙂 Nice place!
Love that the little boy was so excited to spot that turtle. There is nothing like feeling the world through a child’s eyes.
Thank you Annie. Happy Easter xx
Beautiful pictures!
