Wait, it’s October already? I was barely getting into September and now it’s already done. It’s been a hard week out in the big, wide world, so here on WynnWorlds, I am going to show some pictures of lovely places and leave out all the drama, except to say that I have a shiny new windshield on my Subaru (yes, again).
I spent most of this week in the Finger Lakes, and it’s beautiful country, even if the fall colors didn’t make much of an appearance during my visit.

The long weekend (Thu-Tue) was spent in the company of friends, sharing an airbnb house in the area, and doing a stupidly long 13.1 mile walk on Sunday with two of them. Much more fun was the wine-tasting, fudge-eating, meal consumption, and good conversation that went on all weekend
The unique experience of that gathering was watching some pumpkin-chucking at one local winery. I don’t know, it looks crazy but people were really enjoying it.

Monday’s short hike to Taughaunock Falls had so many beautiful views that it will be a separate post. Here’s a teaser for that…

Tuesday was the day of leaving Finger Lakes and driving to the western edge of New York, where I’m now camped along Lake Ontario and Four Mile Creek, just north of Niagara Falls.

Here’s Breeze, with Lake Ontario in the background. This is #2 of the five Great Lakes (did Superior last year), so working on that particular bucket list item slowly but surely. I saw the lights of Toronto last night, twinkling across the lake.

One of my favorite musicians passed away Monday, so here is my tribute to Tom Petty, with the lyrics that have kept me going during 17 months of vagabonding.

Love the super photos and lack of politics this week. Still feeling weirdly lost regarding Tom Petty’s death.
I wrote a lot more, but then felt enough has been said.
Gorgeous photos as always. Those falls look incredible! Keep running down your dream Annie. And thanks for sharing it with us. ♡
really enjoyed the company the past few days – worth the back and leg aching drive – about 850 miles round trip. Making a stop overnight on the way home was good – nice inn on a lake with a beautiful view out the window of my room. This morning I thought of you as the mist rose from the lake. I do not have your photography skills so I will not pain you with the lousy photos from my iphone. Your photos are fantastic.
