What Are Your RV Must-Haves?

Posted on August 22, 2022November 30, 2022 by Annie

Everyone who buys a camper, whether it’s a 42-foot Class A bus or a tiny tow-behind has a list of requirements in their head as they are making their choice. Or sometimes they don’t… Some people go through 2, 3, or even 4 campers in the space of a half-dozen years, realizing that first one didn’t have X, the second didn’t have Y, and so on. So it does pay to think about what you’ll be doing with — and in — your camper before you shell out the big bucks to buy one.

Shelburne Museum, VT

Posted on August 19, 2022November 30, 2022 by Annie

Let’s just start this post off by stating the obvious when it comes to the Shelburne Museum: these people had money. Like the kind of money that lets you design your dining room around four of the Claude Monet paintings you own. That kind of money. But, instead of collecting more Monets and Manets, they went in the opposite direction: steamboats, lighthouses, and lots of other Vermont treasures. If you think I’m kidding about the steamboat and the lighthouse, I’m not. Check out the cover photo at the top of this post!

Cruising on Lake Champlain, VT

Posted on August 17, 2022November 30, 2022 by Annie

Last Friday was an absolutely gorgeous day in Burlington, Vermont so it was also the perfect time to take a lunchtime cruise on Lake Champlain. It was like the sky and lake knew I was in need of some serious soul food, and, boy, did they serve it up!

Photos for a Summer Sunday

Posted on August 14, 2022November 30, 2022 by Annie

Here’s five more photos that didn’t seem to fit into any post so they get to share this one, simply because I like them too much to let them stay unpublished. No travelogue or politics in this post, just photos from the northeastern US.

Westfield Wanderings, MA

Posted on August 12, 2022November 30, 2022 by Annie

I spent a week based in western Massachusetts, at the slightly throw-back setting of an RV park in Granville. Most of the RVs in that park looked like they hadn’t moved since they’d been dropped into their spots, and the weekend was Party Central, when everyone showed up and cracked open a few beers. The rest of the time? It was so peaceful and my spot was so shady. Westfield was a fun place, and I definitely enjoyed exploring the area.
