Once summer ended (here in the Northern Hemisphere), it was time to head south, all the way down to Florida, just in time for medical appointments, trailer maintenance, and hanging out with old friends. What I didn’t anticipate was dodging hurricanes and tropical storms, but then weather challenges seem to have been an ongoing theme for the last few years of my vagabond life.

September in Maine

I’m writing this in mid-September, so I’ll try to remember what was going on just a month or so ago. In some ways, it feels like way more long ago than that. How can a month blow by so fast and yet seem so endless at the same time?
Sunrise on the Coast
There is something magical about sunrise on the water that can roust me out of a warm bed to stand in wet grass in my pajamas, watching it unfold.
