There are two places in Chicago where you can go to look down on everything else in the city: 360 Chicago, at 875 North Michigan Avenue (formerly the John Hancock building) and Skydeck Chicago, at the top of the Willis Tower (which most people still call the Sears Tower). We did both and enjoyed each for different reasons.
Imagine Museum, St. Pete, FL
When I was looking for a second museum to visit in St. Pete, Google suggested the Imagine Museum, not far from my hotel or the Chihuly exhibit. When I clicked on the link and saw it was all about glass, well, the decision to visit was easy.
LaMonte in St. Pete, FL
If you’ve never seen any of Karen LaMonte’s work, oh, you’re in for a treat today. I first saw one of her pieces in 2017 at the Corning Glass Museum, and I’ve loved catching sight of her pieces anywhere since then. So guess how thrilled I was to walk an entire exhibit of her work at the Imagine Museum in St. Pete. Wow!
Chihuly in St. Pete, FL
It’s always a good day when I get to see a glass exhibit. And then seeing Chihuly makes it even better, because I’ve seen so much of his work now that I can assess it more fully than when I was just learning about his work.
