It’s been a weird week: two thunderstorms and a tornado watch, as well as several bouts of rain. Who says South Carolina isn’t exciting? Not me! I spent the weekend finishing out my 8-day stay at Edisto Island State Park, where I stayed in the Live Oak campground. It’s a half-mile from the beach and about 2 minutes from some lovely trails and I found myself walking those more than the beach. Sunday Serenity: Evolving

We’re all evolving, aren’t we, to something better or going in the other direction. A friend asked me yesterday how I had evolved of the last almost-two-years of vagabonding, and it was an interesting way to ask the question of “how have I changed?” since I started this phase of my life. Good news, I’m on the move again, so my posts will start to get more interesting now that I have new things to see and photograph. I did enjoy Gainesville, my new hometown, and its many parks. Sunday Serenity: Forks and Choices

Friday involved a long hike in the woods, with a lot of time to think. Walking is good for thinking, at least for me, and I am often reminded of the Buddhist practice of walking meditation.
