Sometimes, it’s not about the words at all. Sometimes, like today, it’s all about the images.
With the ocean just outside my window, I’ve been getting up before sunrise most days to watch the show. Some mornings, it’s not all that much, just darkness and then a big orange ball pops up on the horizon. But some days, the sky is cloud and then the show begins.
For one brief, glorious moment, the sky is on fire and the water turns from its usual blue-green to an orange reflection of the light above.
The whole spectacle lasted less than two minutes on this particular day, but it was worth my feet hitting the cold floor and then standing out on the balcony in my pajamas, the wind blowing my hair into my eyes. It was a glorious way to start the day.
Dramatic.
So gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this. <3
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous! I’m more of a sunset person (aka night owl), but thanks for the capture.
Wow Annie, one of the most spectacular sunrises I’ve seen! Thanks for sharing (and waking early enough to capture it)!
Beautiful photos! I’m usually up before sunrise, but we’re not seeing anything like this here.
