I went for a hike in the woods the other day, before all the smoke from the Quebec fires showed up. I didn’t know it would be my last hike of the week, thanks to the air quality issues for the next several days. So I’m glad I took the time to notice the small things…
There’s something so cheerful about yellow flowers, whether they are day lilies the size of my hand or this little blossom less than an inch big.

There were a lot of those yellow flowers along the trail but only once did I see the white version.

And, of course, my favorite was this purple bloom because purple is one of my favorite colors. (No, I cannot choose one color as my favorite, that’s just too hard!)

Next time you go for a walk, maybe notice the small things of beauty, the ones you wouldn’t see unless you were really searching for them. Who knows, you might find a treasure to share and make someone’s day.
Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.

Just beautiful, Annie!
Glad you got out and walked for a bit. The air quality in the East reminds me of Sept 2020 out here.
I love to notice the little things when I walk in the woods. I haven’t been there in too long now. Time to get out there without the dog! She pulls all the attention away from the things I’m there to see.
