I’ve had these three images sitting in a folder on my desktop, just waiting to be used somewhere but they never quite fit into a post. So I’m giving them their own spotlight. Not many words to read today, just images to enjoy for a few minutes.

Southern Scenes
I’ve mostly driven back roads so far in 2023, which means slow rolls and quick snaps with a point-and-shoot camera out whatever window works. Over the last several months, as I wandered through Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia, I’ve collected a half-dozen or so images that capture the unique charms of southern backroads.
Covered Bridges in Maryland? Yes, Please!
While I was camping at Cunningham Falls State Park (a nice little spot about a half hour southwest of Gettysburg, PA), I took an afternoon to drive the tiny backroads that led to three different covered bridges. It was a pretty fun way to see more of the Maryland countryside and add three covered bridges to my lifetime total (all the others are in Pennsylvania). And you can drive through each of the three bridges, so that added to the fun.
