It’s been a string of foggy mornings here on the lake, but it’s all good…
This fisherman didn’t seem to mind the weather. He was searching the shallows for a bit, oblivious to both the fog and me pointing a big zoom lens in his direction.

The blue heron was back for a while. He looked about as happy as me to see another foggy start to the day.

The great egret had better timing, showing up a few hours later when the sun finally showed up and got to work drying things out and warming things up. Sometimes, it’s all about the timing…

Even when we are confronted by the subtractions, the things that life takes from us, we have to open ourselves up to the many additions it can offer too.

That is my amazing brother. Thank you for capturing such a beautiful special pictures. I am so happy to see him in his happy place. I love this gentleman with my whole heart. His wife is just as special. Amazing couple.
He was such a good model 🙂 I’m happy I got to send them the images and feature them in a post.
My brother is in WI near Minneapolis. So cold where y’all are
That’s my brother-in-law!!
He’s in the warmth while we are up here in the mitten state… and Freezing!!!
Once upon a time there was a foggy day. . .
Thanks! I saw him coming in today and offered to send him the photos, he said his wife probably wants them 🙂
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happy heron, honestly! They are the scowlers of the water, and they take off the second I get close enough to get a good shot, too. Silly herons!
Hah! The heron. Do herons ever look happy?
Oh, the fisherman! Absolutely stunning photography.
