Since y’all liked the Longwood Gardens post so much, here’s a half-dozen or so photos that didn’t make it into that post. I really like them, so they’re getting their own little showcase right here.

Playing with the macro camera on the iPhone 13, then a close crop, gave me this view into the heart of a bloom. Each flower is a little miracle when you gaze at it long enough.
The petals of this bloom were just as soft as you would think. It was so, so delicate, and so, so beautiful.
Art After Dark
One art installation at Longwood that I thought would be really cool actually wasn’t all that when it was lit up after dark. But coming in closer and then cropping out everything else still made for an interesting shot.
In the other Longwood post, there’s a shot of these CDs with the light show engaged. They actually look just as cool in the light of day.
If I Had a Garden…
If I had a house and a lot of space in the yard, I’d love to have a garden like this one, including that fountain. I’d probably also like a full-time gardener 🙂
As long as I’m dreaming, I’d add a conservatory onto the house or as a separate structure and fill it with plants so that I’d have greenery all year long, even in the coldest of winters. A girl can dream, can’t she?
Gardeners, I think, dream bigger dreams than emperors.

Lovely, just lovely. Beautiful images. Love the patterns too. I envision you in a sweet, cozy home with just enough plants to keep you happy. One day…when you are ready <3
Thank you Annie! Wait you see what happens in my garden next year…
Fabulous, Annie! I loved every one of these photos. And yes, a girl can dream.
