Breathe in, breathe out. I don’t know about you, but I feel the difference in the world today, just seeing the year 2021 on my phone calendar and knowing that the last year is finally done.
I went for a walk this morning to start the new year off on the right foot (yes, and the left one, too). I was hoping to see flowers but it’s just a bit too early for that in Gainesville at the moment. I did see this one nestled deep in a bush.
It reminds me of myself, peering out of the shadows of 2020, looking for the sunlight of 2021.

Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…

Wonderful sentiment for the new year. Wishing you safe and happy travels in 2021! We will be joining the Alto family in June and can’t wait. I hope we meet one day.

I am new to these posts, but I share your name (Ann) and that’s synchronicity for sure. Yes an amazing feeling of lightness and joy settled over me today (my mood first day of the year was impacted by perhaps too much bubbly liquid enthusiasm on NYE). Much to look forward to. And so much to be grateful for. From Clearwater, FL.

Thanks for reading, Ann (and yes, I do like Ann people in my audience!). Let’s hope 2021 brings us health and healing as well as light and joy.

Is that a gardenia? We had them in our backyard when I lived in Florida as a child…I can still remember the smell filling up the backyard. On of my favorite memories of Florida.

Day 1 was brighter internally, even if my external world was quite rainy and grey. I hope we can get together this year, that would brighten things up even more!

Not sure I’ll be close to DC as I head north to MI and then out west. But we could do one of those zoom things, or facetime, or just old-fashioned phone call!

Happy New Year Annie! I too feel a sense of hope and optimism for the year ahead.

Thank you, it brightened my day. Nursing a broken elbow, sprained wrist and fingers so I needed it. I know you broke your hand so know how it feels ,saw the pic of trying to make a fist, me too. Dreaming of our new to us F1743 adventures this spring,we are in Ontario Canada.
Annie says
Ouch, a broken elbow and sprained “lot of stuff” is not a way to start 2021. I hope your rehab goes well, it was a lot of work and time, but eventually I got most of my mobility and strength back in that hand. Dream of how your two good arms will have Alto adventures in 2021, that will help make rehab less boring.

Perfect sentiment for the new year. Breathe!
