Been working hard on things this past week, and now I can unveil the result: new and cool TRAVEL MAPS!

Under the Travel Maps category (up there at the top of the screen), you can find maps that show my travels for 2016-2021. Thanks to a cool WordPress plug-in for Google Maps, it was easy to create these maps. Just click on one of those red markers to read where I was and where I stayed.
I also added two special maps:
- National Parks I’ve visited
- States and Paddles showing states I’ve camping in and states I’ve kayaked in. Someday, I’ll get all 48 continental US states in both categories.
Many thanks to Laura from Chapter 3 Travels, for pushing me to get better maps on my website. Their website is way cool and if you want hilarious travel stories, well, Laura can definitely fill the bill. My favorite of hers? A blog post about Instagram RV photos – when I need a laugh, I go back and read it again.
So much of who we are is where we have been.

Woo hoo! The maps look awesome and you got them done in record time. Very impressive! That’s great that Google now has a plug in. I know we’re not the only ones who have had to fight with the old system.
I will definitely be checking these out going forward. I steal some of my best travel ideas from other bloggers. 🙂
Nice job! (and thanks for the very kind shout-out.)
Fabulous addition to your website! I’m very visual, and this make the adventure more real for me. This will be a great resource when planning trips, too.
What fun! I may even try to do this. Thanks for sharing your travels and your map ideas.
Love the new maps! But there’s a noticeable and sad absence of Ohio in your travels. If you make it to the Buckeye State, be sure to let me know. I’ll alert the other four (I think) Deads and we can arrange a socially distanced meet up.
