I’m in Maine! I’m at Acadia!
It’s been like a gazillion years since I was here last, back when I lived in the Boston area and ran half-marathons, so at least 20 years ago, and probably a half dozen more years than that. Probably only my friend Cindy, my erstwhile roommate on those trips, knows for sure.
Anyhoo, it’s beautiful here, if a bit cold and windy. The Maine coast has that salty air that I swear nowhere else on earth does, and I have been taking deep breaths of it walking along the park trails.

I went for a short hike, out to the ocean view (above) and then exploring the Otter Creek area (below). Although it was mostly cloudy, the light was still good enough to make the photography interesting.

Round the bend, a view of Mount Gorman and the trees just beginning to leaf out in Spring. This is about a mile from Blackwoods Campground, with a forest trail most of the way.

I’ve got three more days of exploring this majestic place, so stay tuned.
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

I’ve actually run up that road (back in the day)! The sunsets have so far been fogged out of view, but I still have a few days… Thursday might be my best (and last) shot at it. We’ll see if the wx gods cooperate.
Take the road to the top of the mt, at sunset.
Maine is high on my bucket list. I even had a job lined up at a campground, but the trip didn’t pan out. Someday. 🙂 I shall be watching for your photos with high interest.
