Yep, still obsessed with The Tree. And, really, can you blame me? It’s more a sculpture than a tree. Here’s how it looked yesterday after Wednesday’s storm had blown through, leaving blue skies and bright light in its wake.
I started playing around with my images in post-processing, and I liked this one a lot from Tuesday, when the winds were indeed blowing and the skies were much darker.
When I went back in the afternoon, the wind was blowing sand and I really like the way it swept by the tree. I just kept clicking the shutter and this was the one that captured me.
From how this one looked in my camera, I got an idea for my weekly photo challenge, which is black and white. I sat down (damp sand = damp trousers, but worth it…) and waited for the next mini-sandstorm to come through. Ten minutes later, I got the shot.
Stay tuned, you’ll see that image on Sunday, when I’m ready to submit it to the 52Frames challenge. Right now, I’m still working on it, tweaking it a bit more.
You don’t take a photograph, you make it.

Love the tree. I must confess that I have a strong desire to decorate it, ha!
❤️ the Sculpture Tree!

Nice work!
Looking forward to seeing your Sunday shot! These are amazing.
The colors in that Tuesday shot are tremendous.
Stunning. It beckons a story, a metaphore … contemplation … Less is more
Outstanding shots! As far as I am concerned, you can’t have too many pictures of this tree and it’s surroundings.
