Today we walked around the city at lunch and looked at all the big buildings. And they are VERY big! There were so many of them that my neck hurt looking up so high. I saw a building like the Central Bank building in Osceola, and it looked tiny next to a Seattle building!
The first building we looked at was the one Annie works in, of course! I’ve been staying there too during the day, so it was fun to count up to floor 20 and see right where we sit!
We even put a little note on the picture so you can see how high up I am every time I go to work with Annie!
We walked all over the downtown and decided to vote on the prettiest buildings so that we could show them to you. So here they are!
My #3 favorite is actually more than one building! Seattle has buildings that are round, not square, and I really like them!
They look fun to live in! You could run around in circles in your house really easily. Well, until your mom or dad yelled at you for running in the house, that is!
The middle building is an apartment building, where people live instead of houses. Annie says these people like to be right in the middle of the big city so that’s why they live there. And a lot of them don’t need cars because they can walk everywhere!
My #2 favorite building is very shiny! Annie says that’s because it’s all made of glass on the outside.
Wow, a glass skyscraper! I think that might be the most fun place to work because you could see the city from every single place you sit!
I asked if this was an apartment building too and Annie said yes, it is. I am getting pretty good at guessing what kind of building each skyscraper is. How do I tell? A lot of the apartment building skyscrapers have patios built in! See those dard spots going up the side of the building? Those are actually patios and people can sit there and enjoy the view!
And my #1 favorite building is this one! It’s BLUE! And all the way up at the top, the roof is really blue! It’s the prettiest building in Seattle, at least that’s what I think.
Annie says it is 40 stories tall. So think of the Central Bank building, and then 19 more piled on top of it. That’s how tall this building is!
We took pictures of more buildings but I didn’t have time to write about all of them. You can see them here and I also put some other Seattle pictures in there. This is a pretty city and I like it a lot!
