I am so excited because we’re in Denver now! It’s a HUGE city and there are more cars than I’ve ever seen in my life! We are at a campground right in the city so we have trees and deer and birds and then we also have the freeway right next to us, so it’s pretty different than the other places we’ve been camping! And it also snowed on us! It was pretty but it’s all melted now.
Last Wednesday, we went to downtown Denver and our host was a very special person, Aunt Lyn! (She is the sister of Annie and of Grandpa Bruce, and I didn’t know that till now!) Lyn lives in Denver and she knows all about the city because she’s lived here a whole year.
Denver has some REALLY tall buildings!!
Here’s a picture of us at the pedestrian mall! They have a free shuttle you can ride and there are no cars allowed on this street at all.
Lyn found us a cool museum to visit. I know, you might think a museum would be kind of boring but this one wasn’t!
It was the Money Museum and this is us standing in front of $30 MILLION DOLLARS!!! Wow, we’d be rich with that much money! And I got to design my own money, which I am going to bring home with me. We also had Annie take a silly picture of us:
I liked this picture the best because this money is so huge it makes me look really small!
Right in the middle of the pedestrian mall street is this table where you can play games! This is Lyn and her friend Roni and me, enjoying the sunshine. See those pretty green trees behind us? Denver is FULL of them. It’s a pretty city, and I like it a lot.
Later, we met Lyn’s oldest son, Bob, and he lives in Denver too! He said to tell everyone that Eliza is his cousin. I didn’t know that Eliza knew anyone in Denver, and now I know three people here. And I am related to two of them!
More adventures are coming because there is a LOT to do around here, so stay tuned!
