NASA is exploring Jupiter right now with the Juno spacecraft!
Jupiter is a gas giant, which means we aren’t sure if there is anything solid in the whole planet, or if it is just a bunch of gasses swirling around in layers. Juno was sent to Jupiter to see if we can find out more information.
Here’s a link to a video of Juno approaching Jupiter last year. It’s so cool (although the music might be a bit loud).
Juno is sending photos back to earth now that it is in orbit around the planet. Here are a few of my favorites.

To close out our exploration of Jupiter, let’s look at an animation of the 62 moons. Yes, Jupiter has 62 moons (so far, there might be more we can’t see). It might take a few minutes to load the video, but it’s worth it!
