Last winter, I took a *lot* of photos of the sky and water. I’ve been going back through them, seeing what’s worth keeping after all this time. So enjoy some abstract views, just because…
I feel like I’ve seen this before, in a museum somewhere. Little puffy clouds, dark water, hint of pink on the horizon.
It’s that thin dark line on the horizon that makes this image work for me.
In this one, the horizon is hard to see, blurring where water meets sky.
And sometimes darkness is the artist, covering everything except for one slash of light.
I hope you enjoyed the tour of my abstracts as much as I enjoyed creating them.
A dream is the bearer of a new possibility, the enlarged horizon, the great hope.

Wonderful! Like the idea of the ocean as abstract art.
Thank you! <3
Interesting that the suggested “related” blogs by you (Sunday Serenity: In the Moment 11/19/2023, Sunday Serenity: Anticipation 12/10/2017, and Sunrise 1/22/2024) were all horizon-on-the-open-water blogs too. I’m sensing a pattern.
2 of those were the same place I took the shots for today’s post 🙂
I love these beautifully captured photos where the sky and the owater meld into one unending stretch of blue. It’s nearly impossible to say where the earth’s waters stop and the heavens begin. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
