Now you might think a foggy morning at the beach wouldn’t be that much fun and you might be right. Except that I have an iPhone app called Slow Shutter (meaning the camera takes longer, like 2-4 seconds, to capture an image).
I played around with that app this morning, since it was so foggy all I could really see was the beach directly in front of me.
I really like how these images turned out. They show the motion of the water: the surf breaking, the water approaching the high tide line, then receding.
To see the essence of something so familiar as the beach is to experience it anew. And it’s also a great way to start the day.
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you, the less you know.
