A friend of mine is struggling right now, and it has me thinking how we often don’t see the thrashing and flailing involved in keeping one’s head above water. Social media is all about curating the perfect life, showing the good, and rarely or never mentioning the hard or lonely or difficult times.
Those hard times can feel like climbing an endless mountain.
So to help that friend, and anyone else who needs it today, this post is for you. See those waystations in the photo above? That’s where your friends are. Reach out and ask them to meet you on your hard road.
They will.
Imagine yourself standing there, warm water rushing towards you, then pulling away, sand between your toes, warm sun on your face.
Breathe.
You got this.
You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens.

You are a way station for me sister. Thank you for being so wise. And I promise to be a way station for you whenever you need it as well. Hugs and so much love coming to you always. <3
Thank you I needed this today as every bone in my body is screaming in pain. You are an angel writer.
Given some recent insomnia issues (tied to “stuff” in life), this was a timely post. Thanks. 🙂
