Hmm, now where was I last week? Sometimes I have to read my own updates for the previous week to figure out where to start the current update post! I spent all of the last week at Boyd Lake State Park, north of Denver about an hour, where I have some family I wanted to visit with before I headed east for the summer. Clearwater in Saugerties
A couple of lifetimes ago, I worked on the Clearwater, a replica of a Hudson River Sloop that does environmental education and activism. It’s too cold to sail on the Hudson in winter (unless you have an old iceboat, and then ice-sailing is fantastic!) so the boat gets put under a temporary shed and a small, hardy crew of people do winter maintenance work. Weekly Update: May 3, 2017
Big city, mega traffic, five inches of snow, and lots of family and friends time. What more could I want in a week? Well, less traffic and snow, to be honest. Still, to be inside, cozy and warm, for 24 hours of falling snow wasn’t an entirely bad thing – I got a lot of reading done and some photography work too. One-Year Alto-versary
Seriously, a whole year! I picked up Breeze, my Alto 1743 trailer from Safari Condo, on May 2, 2016 and my life hasn’t been the same since that day. I remember being nervous about if I had the right hitch and wiring, what tools I might need on a daily basis, and, biggest thing of all, how the hell to drive with a trailer on the back of my Subaru.
