Some days, I want to rush ahead: see that next view, get to that next stop, put another pin in my travel map. I know, I know: it’s the journey, not the destination. But sometimes its hard for me to remember that, especially when the days are rushing by, first Thanksgiving, then Christmas, and soon it will be New Year’s Eve and then 2017.
Do you feel like that too? If you do, please join me and take a deep breath. Then let it out slowly and savor these images.
Everything always takes time to grow.
Your character, your learning, your friendships, your relationships.
Everything.

Perspective, something that only comes when you slow down. Seems to me our entire country could use some Sunday Serenity and some perspective. Thanks for the reminder Annie. ♡
Hey, Lorie, thanks for the comment. I struggled with writing something entirely different and then realized I was mostly thinking about time and the slow passing of it in geological terms compared to our hyper-fast world and the concern over the next four years of political stuff.
Yeah this is but a blip in the grand scheme of things. A friend lost her mother this morning and my baby turns 30 today. Makes you remember that if we get too caught up in all the stuff that “could” happen, and likely will anyway, no matter what we do, we miss out on what is really important in our lives and which is right n front of us. Keep on writing amiga, we need all voices and all perspectives. ♡
Oh, no, I am so sorry to hear that. It does put things in perspective, in a painful way.
