Still eastbound on Route 2, with the weather definitely trending downward. If this continues, by the time I get to Quebec, we could be in the next ice age. Prepare accordingly.
Before I left Shelby, Montana this morning, I drove down Main Street. The sidewalks had not unrolled for the day, but I did manage to spot the bars this town is famous for. Those neon signs probably look great all lit up at night.
From there, the day was, in no particular order, all about the following things:
Wide open fields as far as the eye could see…
Snow. Lots of snow. There was also hail, but snow predominated.
Long straight stretches of road. Much of it covered with or enveloped by snow.
I drove through (the) Kremlin, Malta, and Glasgow today. Yep, all in Montana. This is an interesting state. Check out these two businesses, side by side. Neither one was open, though.
Eight hours of driving, most of it in driving snow or rain or hail, was exhausting. By the time I got to my hotel room, I could not stay awake and ended up taking a two hour nap, waking up in time for a late dinner of KFC and water. I really know how to make the most of a Monday evening.
